A qualified Chartered Mechanical Engineer Paul initially joined the Health Service in Northern Ireland until he moved to Scotland in 1993 as Estates Manager at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline - eventually becoming Deputy Director of Operations at Fife Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
A former Director of Facilities at Southend Hospital NHS Trust Paul is a Director of National Services Scotland and has responsibility for Health Facilities Scotland. He has also recently completed a year and a half as Interim Director of Health Protection Scotland. He was appointed to his current post in October 2004. - 09:55 : Andy Young - Head of Property Development And Management : Glasgow City Council
Andy’s first job in the mid-70s was in property acquisition with Glasgow District Valuer’s Office, as part of a “slum clearance” programme. His work since has included the development of industrial and commercial property and the integration and management of a substantial property portfolio.
He became Head of Property in Glasgow in 2005 eventually covering all aspects of property for the Council. Andy was part of the delivery team for Property/ICT Joint Venture Partnership with SERCO in 2008. This new organisation, ACCESS, now manages the majority of the Council’s operational property and will deliver a corporate asset management plan, new facilities management regimes and a property information management system. - 10:15 : Stuart Ladds - Relocation Programme Manager, Government Estate Transformation : Office of Government Commerce
Stuart Ladds – a career civil servant and avid student of history – is a qualified project manager and construction sponsor. His career so far has encompassed spells at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA) before working for the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) as the programme manager responsible for overseeing the delivery of all 20,000 relocations covered by Sir Michael Lyons’ report.
