MESSAGE FROM MIKE BURT: OGC

DIRECTOR of GOVERNMENT RELOCATION & ASSET MANAGEMENT

I am writing to invite you to join me at the third Government Relocation Conference that will be held at the QEII Conference Centre, London SW1 on 20 February 2007.  This Office of Government Commerce event is being organised in conjunction with Public Service Partnership.

As we reach the end of the third year of this programme, and its mid-point, it is time to celebrate the significant achievements made to date but also to look forward to the challenges ahead. Primarily we need to turn our attention to the benefits that are starting to be realised from relocations that have occurred so far and the impact that the relocation initiative is having.

The OGC Government Relocation Implementation Programme Team has been tracking over 900 relocation projects across Central Government, some involving single figures of posts and some moving over 1000 posts. The scope and difficulty of all these projects has made them as individual as the people affected. We intend to use the conference to applaud success so far and to share the wider lessons and benefits learned and achieved along the way. The programme of practical workshops will therefore focus on the key relocation issues of Human Resources, Property and Benefits Realisation.

I hope you can see from the attached outline agenda that the February 2007 conference is a must attend event for anyone who is involved in any way with Relocation, Change Management and Efficiency.

Experience has shown from other OGC events that the demand for places will be high, so it is important to book early for this coming February.Delegate rate £185.00 + vat. To book your place, please contact Charis Rosen, Public Service Partnership, on 0161-217-2500 or crosen@pspltd.org

I look forward to seeing you on 20 February 2007.

Yours sincerely

M J BURT
Director of Government Relocation and Asset Management
