This session will cover strategies and practical tools for leading a successful start up.

The session will draw on a combination of evidence based knowledge and practical application to demonstrate how 'patient stories' have informed and enhanced both care and services in the public sector.

This session draws on a combination of academic research and practical application to show how the blind spots of leaders affect the outcomes of public sector culture change. We draw on a new model of learning to examine the effects of blind spots at two levels – senior management and middle management. We then look at how the Home Office is working to overcome these blind spots in order to encourage leadership at all levels in the organisation.
