Public Service People Management 2008

For the past four years, Public Service People Management Scotland (PSPM) has provided an annual opportunity for delegates to:
- Focus on the people management challenges facing Scotland's public service employers;
- Network with other 'like-minded' individuals from across the public service spectrum;
- Meet & exchange ideas with potential solution providers from the public, private & voluntary sectors.
WHO ATTENDS THE PSPM EVENT?
PSPM 2007 brought together senior executives, directors & managers from more than 100 Civil Service departments, executive agencies, public bodies, local authorities, NHS, Police, fire, education & voluntary sector organisations.
Clearly demonstrating that the event is not 'just for HR', personnel & human resources 'specialists' were joined at PSPM 2007 by key officials from a wide range of business disciplines, including business performance, central services, change management, corporate operations, corporate policy, corporate standards, finance, organisational development, service delivery, strategic leadership & transport.
WHAT WILL BE HAPPENING AT PSPM 2008?
For 2008, the fifth annual PSPM conference & exhibition - on Tuesday 29th January - will provide delegates (whether policymakers, strategists or practitioners) with a closer insight into core HR & people management issues.

- 09:30-11:00: Main Plenary Conference Session
- 11:00-11:30: Refreshments & networking
- 11:30-12:30: Delegate choice from 5 'breakout' conference sessions
- 12:30-13:30: Lunch & networking
- 13:30-14:30: Delegate choice from 5 'breakout' conference sessions
- 14:30-15:00: Refreshments & networking
- 15:00-16:00: Delegate choice from 4 'breakout' conference sessions
- 16:00-16:45: Drinks Reception
- 16:45: Close of event
The day's activities begin with a main Plenary session, featuring presentations from a specially-selected group of leading figures, including Lorraine Brown, Head Of HR Shared Services with The Scottish Government. The 90-minute Plenary - focusing on 'Improving Productivity & Customer Focus: From The Back Office To The Front Line' - is available to all delegates.
PSPM 2008 then continues with 14 one-hour 'breakout' sessions (delegates may choose to attend a maximum of three of these sessions).

Thanks to the support of our exhibitors & sponsors, public sector delegate rates for this year's gathering are set at £195 & VAT - a fraction of charges for other professional sector events.
Private sector delegate rate £495 + VAT
