Public Service People Management 2004

London ExCeL 14th / 15th September 2004

An ever-evolving modernisation & reform programme places immense demands on our public service organisations.

Whether in the public or community/voluntary sectors – or, indeed, the private sector (as ‘public service providers’) - the drive to improve service delivery & performance is accelerating.

Fundamental to this drive is the management of these organisations’ biggest asset…their people.

The public service ‘people management’ community – whether tasked with policy development, strategy or ‘grass roots’ implementation – will explore a wide range of issues specific to that community at Public Sector People Management Expo (PSPM Expo) London 2004.

Aims & Objectives Of PSPM Expo

  • To attract & inform a broad spectrum of delegates with public service people management responsibilities - from both the traditional HR/Personnel fields & a wider range of disciplines at Senior, Middle & Line Management levels.
  • To facilitate a sharing of learning by an exchange of transferable good practice case studies - taken from public, private & voluntary/community sector organisations, to promote cross-sector fertilisation.
  • To create a unique opportunity for delegates to develop & expand their networking contacts across all areas of public service.
  • To provide a platform (via Plenary sessions) for the most senior public service figures to expand upon those policy issues & challenges which will directly impact upon public service people managers.
  • To help foster the ‘feelgood factor’ within public service organisations.
